The lab monsters continue to put in work in Street Fighter 6 in order to find the very best tech that they can. Thanks to social media, we are consistently treated to new set ups, mix ups, general facts about the game’s mechanics, and of course, combos.
While one might not expect Dhalsim of all characters to have much in the way of combos to work with, a new max damage Sim combo in SF6 has been shared on Twitter — and it is an absolute doozy. When all is said and done, Dhalsim not only is able to use two level 2 supers in the same combo (all while obeying meter limits), but also dishes out a brutal 7460 damage.
The combo was uploaded onto Twitter by FGC lab monster Javits, though it originates from the mind of longtime commentator and Dhalsim fan ListonthePrince.
This combo begins with a Drive Impact for the stun that is performed a bit further out for proper spacing. When an opponent is stunned in Street Fighter 6, they stand there dazed for several seconds before dropping to the floor, which allows for the stun-er to set up their big punish.
In this case, Dhalsim kicks things off with a fully charged level 2 super, which sends a giant orb of fire slowly arching at the opponent. Just before the training dummy transitions into their non-standing state, Dhalsim is able to kick the opponent to keep them standing, which then gives the super enough time to come in, land, and keep the foe locked down with the multi-hitting fire ball.
While the dummy is being hit by the super, Dhalsim is able to leap forward and hit a jumping heavy punch to start what is essentially a big jump in combo. From there, we see an extended combo using three Drive Rushes — which Dhalsim is able to do thanks to building back a sliver of Drive Gauge with the fire ball loops he uses — and build enough super meter to get a second level 2 super stocked.
To close things out, Sim juggles the second level 2 after ending the large sequence with a Yoga Blast, and when the smoke clears we see that the stretchy fighter has pulverized his opponent with a vicious 7460-damage combo.
According to Liston, this particular combo works on the taller characters in Street Fighter 6. If you’re hoping to hit it yourself, you’ll want to give it a try against Zangief, Marisa, JP and DeeJay.
