Mightykeef’s latest comedy skit is comedy gold
With the connectivity of the internet and rampant leaks in our space, it is rare for video game developers to genuinely surprise the masses with an announcement. However, Capcom and Marvel did exactly that when they unveiled the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics.
There were a lot of reactions to the upcoming compilation’s reveal trailer, all of them about as excited as can be to see the long awaited return of the Marvel vs. Capcom series. But if you need all of the reactions to the collection summarized in one perfect encapsulation, then you’ll definitely need to see Mightykeef’s latest comedy skit.
Though Keef makes a lot of content for general gaming, he is also a big fighting game fan and has a great finger on the pulse of the community. As such, his skits that share commentary on some of the latest FGC happenings are always on point, and his newest venture is no different.
Keef’s new comedy bit focuses on how fans of the Marvel vs. Capcom series reacted to the compilation’s announcement. Spoiler alert… the reaction is fairly intense.
Things kick off with Keef sitting down and reflecting on how good fighting game fans have it right now. With major releases like Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and more (but not Mortal Kombat 1) having “rich content that caters to the players’ needs,” things really are good right now if you enjoy fighting games.
When a buddy comes around and informs Keef that the Marvel vs. Capcom Collection has been announced, he enters a stunned silence (much like many of us did) before launching into an impassioned speech about what makes Marvel vs. Capcom 2 so great.
He lists things like its roster boasting over 50 playable characters — but quickly changes the subject when asked how many of them are viable — and he goes on to detail just how important and life changing this upcoming collection of classic fighting games truly is.
