You’ve seen her before here on EventHubs as Dr. Yuan Herong quickly became one of our favorite cosplayers thanks to her unbelievable work ethic. When she’s not in the gym building her near perfect physique for body building competitions, she’s also a part time model, full time mom, and somehow finds time for the occasional cosplay.
Today we’re sharing one such cosplay as the buff doctor has posted new photos and videos of her as The Strongest Woman in the World: Street Fighter’s Chun-Li.
Not only does Dr. Herong have the clearly-defined muscle that seems to cover every last inch of her body, she’s extremely flexible and thus can actually pull off many of the poses Chun does in her in-game appearances.
Lift a leg straight above the head and hold it for a photo? No problem. Perform a perfect splits while also doing a hand stand a la Spinning Bird Kick? Say less.
If we didn’t know any better and you told us that the character was actually inspired by the person, we’d believe you in a heartbeat.

A lot of these see the cosplayer in the midst of impressive kicks and impossible stretches, but others capture more of the character’s fun-loving side. All of them beautifully highlight what must be thousands of hours in the gym:
Maybe the above is just a well-executed Photoshop job, right? Here are a pair of videos as Dr. Herong shows us how she strikes these poses in real time:
That back flex though… she has muscles we didn’t even know existed.
Let us know in the comments what you think of this cosplay. As popular a figure for cosplay as she is, we can’t recall a more complete imitation of Chun-Li to date.
If you’ve got any others that you think might give Dr. Herong a run for her money, please feel free to share them, but we’re not going to hold our breath.
