This A.K.I. cosplay is so spot on we thought it was in-game footage at first

The pale, serpent-like and poison-wielding A.K.I. has been in Street Fighter 6 and seducing fans into trying to “fix” her since last fall, and it seems she’s already a good bit more popular than her predecessor from Street Fighter 5: F.A.N.G.

We recently stumbled across a few interesting thumbnail of A.K.I. on X that we honestly initially thought were straight out of the game, perhaps with some kind of camera mod used to capture various angles. After clicking them, however, we realized they were real photos of a real cosplayer who pulled off an incredibly convincing real life version of the character.

Hiroto Hiro is the cosplayer, and the photos were snapped by Yuzuki_85; both of whom are powerfully good at what they do.

Not only is the costume itself spot-on, right down to the snake-like scales and vicious finger claw fittings, but the backgrounds look like they’re right out of the game.

There are two settings the photos take place in, the first of which looks convincingly like the Tian Hong Yuan stage where we first met A.K.I. in her teaser trailer. The second is a tad more generic, but mimics the look and feel of the garage from the character select screen.

We get A.K.I. in plenty of her go-to poses as she stands tall, slithers on the ground, and even launches out some noxious bubbles. Even the character’s umbrella-like white hair, which has never been her strongest attribute, looks pretty damn good in these photos.

Check out the collection via the X embeds below and be sure to follow Hiroto Hiro there for more wonderful cosplays like this one. Share your thoughts in the comments after you’ve had a chance to peruse.
