These Mortal Kombat fighters look extremely likely now that Mortal Kombat 12 is confirmed as discussed by TrueUnderDawgGaming

It ended up being quite the surprise when Mortal Kombat 12 was suddenly leaked during a Warner Bros. Discovery earnings call. With Mortal Kombat 12 now confirmed, many of Ed Boon’s teasing Tweets throughout 2021 now have additional context.

In a recent video, TrueUnderDawgGaming outlined eight characters that he believes have effectively been confirmed (or are at least extremely likely) based on what Ed Boon has previously Tweeted or based on data mine leaks from Mortal Kombat Onslaught (mobile game). This all makes sense now that we know for sure that Mortal Kombat 12 is next rather than Injustice 3.

It’s certainly interesting how characters like Reptile, Cyber Smoke and Tanya all have variables declared within Mortal Kombat Onslaught’s code. However, none of these characters actually have models in Mortal Kombat Onslaught.

Based on this information, TrueUnderDawGaming theorizes that Reptile, Cyber Smoke and Tanya will all be added to Mortal Kombat Onslaught after they are announced and shown off in Mortal Kombat 12. Essentially, Mortal Kombat Onslaught will get models for these characters based on how they appear in Mortal Kombat 12.

Aside from them, it’s looking like we might also see the return of characters like Tremor, Mileena, Quan Chi, Ashrah and Chameleon (or Khameleon) based on a variety of hints that may have been dropped by Ed Boon.
