Marvel Comics’ own Deadpool and Wolverine have been in the limelight lately thanks to the major hit film called, well… Deadpool & Wolverine. The comic book-themed movie is an amusement park filled with awesome cameos, is self aware and takes shots at recent Marvel films, and brings back the classic humor the Deadpool movies are known for.
People seem to really enjoy the film, and one fan recently went above and beyond in creating mods that actually add Wolverine, Deadpool, and Lady Deadpool into Mortal Kombat 1. Not only do these mods look great visually, but they all fit in exceptionally well into the ultra violent world of Mortal Kombat.
These mods come from the minds of ArScorpi and IOI-632671, with the videos being made by DaIslandBoyz on Twitter.
For those who couldn’t guess, Wolverine is modded over Baraka which is very fitting on account of the retractable claws. Deadpool is perfectly cast as Johnny Cage here, while Lady Deadpool is a Kameo Fighter and uses Janet Cage as her base.
DaIslandBoyz put together a couple of videos that feature highlights of these mods, and they are perfectly tuned to replicate the theme and tone of the Deadpool & Wolverine film. For example, the first clip begins with Deadpool flipping off Wolverine as we hear Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” blasting over top of the footage.
Not long after that we see Wolverine perform a vicious Brutality on Deadpool, which involves a lot of claw swipes and ultimately chopping the dude in half.
The second video shows Deadpool doing a silly dance to NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” before performing a tag team attack on Wolverine with Lady Deadpool. And as the added cherry on top, the maneuver even ends with Deadpool slamming a massive film camera onto Logan.
