Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available
Prepare patients for surgery, including administering medications and ensuring all pre-operative procedures are completed
Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery and assist with post-operative care as needed
Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room and adhere to infection control protocols
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on best practices and advancements in perioperative nursing care
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Nursing
Valid nursing license from the Nigerian Nursing and Midwifery Council
Proven experience working as a Theatre Nurse, preferably in a surgical setting
Excellent knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
