Fair play to him – Jadon Sancho is having a bit of a renaissance season at Chelsea.
That’s far from what you can say about him time at Manchester United.

Brought to the club by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2021 for a fee around £73m from Borussia Dortmund, Jadon Sancho was never able to truly show his full ability at Old Trafford.
Although there were moments and glimpses, the player looked like a shadow of the man who shone in the Bundesliga.
It can be argued that Sancho has shown more in his short stint at Stamford Bridge than he did during his entirety at United.
The performances of Jadon Sancho were not the only point of contention for the England international.
One of the biggest talking points of his entire time in Manchester was THAT fallout with manager Erik ten Hag.
After United lost to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in September 2023, a reporter asked the manager why Jadon Sancho was not included in the squad.
Ten Hag proceeded to proclaim that the winger hadn’t performed at the levels expected in training and therefore other players were preferred.
From there, things escalated quickly.
Sancho put out a statement on his social media denying the inference and claimed he’d been made a ‘scapegoat’ in the situation.

With no apology for publicly calling out his manager, Sancho was removed from selection and then later sent on loan to former club Dortmund.
Despite seemingly patching up with Ten Hag in the summer, Jadon Sancho was then sent on loan to Chelsea with a view to a permanent transfer.
It’s almost certain that the attacker will be making the move permanent in the summer of 2025.
But what was the actual truth of the matter?
Was Sancho made a scapegoat for the team’s poor performances at the time?
Or was Erik ten Hag right about the player’s aptitude in training?
CentreDevils can exclusively reveal the story about what actually happened that caused the beginning of the end for Jadon Sancho at Manchester United.
Based on information from a reliable source, whose identity cannot be disclosed due to their close ties with the club, Jadon Sancho had actually been kicked out of training the week before the Arsenal game.

Sancho was allegedly putting in little to no effort in the training sessions and was kicked out as a result.
This was something that wasn’t leaked to the media at the time – therefore it was not reported.
The statement that Jadon Sancho had put out where he stated that “I have conducted myself very well in training this week” was NOT actually a true reflection of the situation at the time.
This is why the player was suspended by the club and sent out on loan.
With the above in mind, what Erik ten Hag had stated in his post-match comments now seem quite understated.
It’s likely why the club were so adamant that Sancho apologise at the time for reacting in such a way.
This detail puts the entire saga in a whole new light.
Clearly, there was much more fault on the side of Jadon Sancho than was being let of at the time.
After not training as well as expected by his manager, the player decided to go public with his grievances and then wouldn’t back down after the fact.
Chelsea fans have so far seen a much better version of Jadon Sancho than United fans have.
But even they would be worried and hoping that Sancho doesn’t exhibit similar traits in the future at their club.
Otherwise the player is going to face more issues in his career later down the line.
