Just last night, the Street Fighter 6 servers went down for maintenance in preparation for the newly announced Terry Arrives Fighting Pass. Of course, Terry Bogard himself is slated to join the Street Fighter 6 roster on September 24, 2024.
Along with the Terry Arrives Fighting Pass comes a new patch. Though there aren’t any actual balance adjustments being applied to the game just yet, there is one notable bug fix that does effectively serve as a nerf for M. Bison.
We’ve previously reported how M. Bison can technically detonate a single Psycho Mine twice in one combo. This allowed M. Bison to deal ludicrous amounts of damage with specific combos.
With this latest update, M. Bison is no longer able to perform this sequence. Overall though, this is hardly something that actually comes up in actual matches, so M. Bison will likely continue to be a strong contender in the meta.
More than likely, Capcom are saving any balance adjustments for the patch that’s due on September 24, when Terry is made compatible. Back in May, Street Fighter 6 Director Takayuki Nakayama mentioned that there were plans for multiple, smaller balance patches this season.
During Gamescom 2024, fans in attendance were able to try out the upcoming version of Street Fighter 6 with Terry included. However, it should be noted that nobody was able to report on any confirmed changes, so it’s unknown if there will be any adjustments with the upcoming update.
