The perception that kills joy in Saraki's CCT trial, CRUTECH lecturer, Cornelius Ellah, bears mind
L-R: Ellah and Saraki in court

A Nigerian university lecturer, Cornelius Ellah, of Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) has said that BBC correspondent’s negative perception of Nigeria’s judicial system particularly in respect of Senate President Bukola Saraki’s victory at the court kills the joy that would have naturally greeted the news NegroidHaven has learnt. See how he captures the sentiment,
‘I was glad for Senator Bukola Saraki, Nigeria’s Senate President, when I heard that the courts have just cleared him of corruption charges levelled against him.
I heard the news on BBC Radio.
‘The news broadcast concluded that BBC’s correspondent in Nigeria stated that many of the courts in Nigeria are riddled with corruption, making it difficult for them to secure conviction on charges of corruption.
‘Such perception kills joy. Somehow, it dampens the euphoria that should ordinarily accompany Senator Saraki’s victory’.
Recall that the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) on Wednesday ruled that Mr. Saraki had no case to answer in the 18-count charge against him over allegations of false declaration of asset.
What’s your take on lecturer Ellah’s position?
