As discussed earlier, one of the primary functions of government is to serve the People by providing infrastructure that facilitates their efforts to produce, thrive, flourish and prosper.
Infrastructure includes the provision of electrical power.
Our civilisation runs on electrical power. Therefore to the degree that electrical power is provided cheaply and plentifully and without disruption the nation will prosper, at least materially.
Where – whether by ineptitude, greed, corruption or enemy action – electrical power is rendered expensive or unreliable, this will be felt by the People as a drop in their living standards. Such a drop – as for example in the case of old people wo can no longer afford to keep warm in Winter – can even be fatal.
Present governments have embarked upon a drive to introduce highly inefficient methods of generating electrical power. These methods, wind and solar, whilst they are undoubtedly ingenious technologies, are probably the most inefficient energy-production methods available in terms of using them to fuel an entire national grid.
Their inherent inefficiency makes them naturally and unavoidably expensive. Expensive energy impoverishes any economy that tries to run on it, as is proving quite starkly to be the case in the UK, which is experiencing crashing living standards in tandem with the government’s bizarre obsession with wind and solar.
Moreover, wind and solar are environmentally harmful by nature of their construction, the sheer numbers that have to built and installed, the necessity of power storage caused by their intermittent nature and the environmental impact of their waste products (disposing of decommissioned turbines and so forth) and their susceptibility to the vagaries of the climate.
These economically inept and environmentally destructive technologies, completely unsuited to fueling a national grid, are destined to bequeath future generations economic and environmental catastrophe, yet are nevertheless touted as “solutions” to real or imagined environmental problems.
The People’s government will therefore:
Immediately cancel all subsidies to wind and solar that give them an unfair advantage over traditional more efficient methods of energy production and which at the same time massively increase the cost to the consumer of the energy provided.
Immediately discontinue the installation of wind and solar and over time phase out wind and solar.
Revive gas and oil, at the very least as stop-gap measures whilst more environmentally-friendly technologies are created and gotten onto production. At the same time closely monitor the environmental impact of oil and gas to discover whether they are as environmentally detrimental as has been claimed. Such monitoring MUST be conducted honestly and openly and impartially by a government-appointed watchdog under the rules of written submission and so forth discussed earlier. No private vested interests (such anyone with a stake or investment in as oil and gas) may have any involvement in such monitoring, except through the submission of written evidence to the investigators subject to the usual lawful caveats against perjury.
Immediately introduce a crash program to construct and bring into production more efficient and environmentally-friendly technologies.
The first of these is nuclear, the upgrading or restoration where feasible of existing nuclear facilities and the construction of large and small uranium- or thorium-fueled nuclear reactors.
The second is the construction of wave- and tide-power facilities. Wave and tide power is a renewable that has been neglected in favour of inferior wind and solar. Yet it has the advantage of being non-intermittent: a country like Britain, surrounded as it is by oceans, sits amid a literal sea of unitilised, constant free energy.
All such facilities built shall remain the property of the People, run as a not-for-profit public service. They shall not be sold to private owners at any time and for any politician or bureaucratic or covert vested interest to propose or advocate such a sale shall deemed a criminal offence.
The pay and bonuses of all persons working in these industries shall be based upon performance in terms of cost and reliability and the provision of good, honest service to the consumer with bonuses paid to the workforce as an incentive for the provision of good service.
As these new community-owned facilities come into production the government will be able to phase out buying power from private-profit companies.
The government shall set up a publicly (never privately) funded research institute dedicated to searching for cleaner and more efficient sources of power (such as fusion, hydrogen and so forth) and reporting and recommending upon what it finds to the People.
In tandem with this there shall be an Inventor’s Competition whereby inventors submit their inventions to a suitably qualified panel of scientists and engineers. The inventions shall be judged on the basis of workability, social benefit and environmental impact. Each year, say, the five best shall be announced and the inventor shall be awarded a prize of (say) one million pounds to spend as he or she wishes.
The invention itself shall remain the property of the inventor to develop as he or she wishes. The government shall at its discretion help the inventor develop his or her invention and make it available in the market place by providing suitable grants or interest-free loans.
The only restriction placed on the inventor is that he or she must remain the owner of it and my not sell it on to other interests nor sell it through issues of shares. Her or she upon death or retirement may bequeath the business to a descendant or in the absence thereof to the Community via its elected government.
The government shall conduct a full, rigorous fully-open investigation into the policies and agreements that brought about the NetZero fiasco, the introduction and financial rewarding of inept technologies, and the harm brought to the environment and the economy thereby.
The investigation shall be done under the auspices of a judge of experience and high repute. It shall particularly seek to discover whether any deliberate false reports were involved or dishonest deals by politicians and bureaucrats with covert vested interests – to discover in other words whether the People were defrauded and who by.
If it is found that fraud or deception were involved in violation of applicable laws, the suspected perpetrators shall be brought to trial.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
