Similar to traditional fighting games, each character in every iteration of the Super Smash Bros. series is defined by their strengths and weaknesses. Due to these differences, some characters end up being really strong while others can struggle at being relevant in competitive formats.
Essentially, a character is only as good as their best moves. However, there have been plenty of moves throughout the history of the Super Smash Bros. series that are very clearly useless.
Honest Content recently released a video covering some of the most useless moves that we’ve seen so far. One example of a truly awful move is Luigi’s angled down side tilt from Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Hilariously enough, this move is incapable of sending opponents anywhere at even 999% damage. This is due to how the move’s properties has a pathetic amount of set knockback.
Kirby’s forward and backwards throws from Super Smash Bros. Melee are also remarkably worthless. Kirby is the only character throughout the entirety of the series that has escapable throws, which can tremendously backfire against Kirby if he tries to perform a “Kirby-cide” near the edge.
