The King of Fighters Allstar continues its quest to cross over with every other fighting game series with Virtual Fighter joining the ranks
Now do Mortal Kombat guys
The King of Fighters Allstar has been going strong for nearly 5 years now as arguably the best conversion we’ve seen from a fighting game into a mobile title, and it feels like they won’t stop until they’ve collaborated with every other major series in the genre out there.
Netmarble and Sega recently announced that Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown will soon be crossing over into KOF Allstar, so we can soon see Kyo standing alongside the likes of Akira, Ryu, Kazuya, Sol Badguy, Haohmaru, Sophitia and Kasumi in the same game.
The KOF X VF5 collaboration will bring 5 of Sega’s iconic fighters to the mobile beat ’em up including Akira Yuki, Pai Chan, Jacky Bryant and Sarah Bryant as well as the original blocky styles of Akira and Sarah.
This crossover event is scheduled to launch on April 25 where players can log in to receive Original Style Akira for free as well as exclusive missions and story quests.

Up to this point, KOF Allstar has managed to bring in characters from Street Fighter 5, Samurai Shodown, Tekken 7, Dead or Alive 6, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, and Soul Calibur 6, which pretty much covers all Japanese fighters nowadays aside from what, BlazBlue?
SNK and Netmarble haven’t limited their crossovers to just fighting games either, as we’ve previously even seen the WWE and anime series like Gintama added to the roster too.
The only thing we really need to bring it all together an make the game an FGC Allstar would be to get NetherRealm Studios on board with bringing in Mortal Kombat characters.
Meanwhile, Street Fighter: Duel continues to not be able to get the name of basic attacks correct.
