The King of Fighters 15 releases free trial version with 15 playable characters
Although it only seems to be available in Japan at the moment
It’s been just over a year since The King of Fighters 15 first launched as arguably one of the best in the series (outside of its matchmaking woes), and now more people are going to get the chance to try it out.
SNK has now released a free trial version of KOF15 that includes 15 playable characters though it is a bit limited in who can actually access it at the moment.
The KOF15 trial version includes Shun’ei, Meitenkun, Benimaru, Isla, Heidern, Dolores, Kyo, Iori, Chizuru, Terry, Ryo, Chris, Mai, Athena and Kula Diamond on their available roster for players to use.
There is no online play featured in this free demo, however, so players will be limited to just offline Versus and Training modes, which is at least good for those wanting to know how the game works and / or want to try it out with friends or family.

Unfortunately, the KOF15 trial version is currently only available in Japan on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, so you’d at least need a Japanese PSN account to download it.
Hopefully, SNK will soon expand that to more countries and systems, but it’s an interesting move for a game that’s already gone through a year of updates and new content.
