Every fighter in Tekken 8 has 180 health points, which is a bit of a step up from how everyone had 175 health in Season 4 of Tekken 7. Of course, damage output in Tekken 8 is also quite high as many characters are able to exceed 100 damage through their combos.
It turns out that it is possible to deal over 180 damage with the right variables in play, resulting in a touch of death combo. This has been demonstrated by Tragic on Twitter.
Though Tragic has Rage active (for the 10% damage boost), it’s certainly noteworthy how the combo doesn’t end with a Rage Art. As such, it may be possible to raise the damage even higher, though that feels like it’d be completely unnecessary.
This is a combo performed by Yoshimitsu against Jack-8. It’s likely that this combo exclusively works on Jack-8 due to his status as a big-bodied character.
Indeed, we end up seeing Jack-8’s entire health bar depleted over the course of the sequence. As it turns out, this combo might only work in the corner, so it’s not entirely clear just how practical this sequence is in a real match.
