Over the past 30+ years, Capcom has licensed out Street Fighter for all sorts of merchandise imagineable, and that sometimes includes ones that are edible too.
If you’ve been watching the Capcom Cup X broadcast this week, you may have noticed Street Fighter hot sauce bottles on the set of the “This is Fire with RobTV” segments inspired by Hot Ones — and the product is indeed real.
Sauce Shed has an entire line of Street Fighter 2 Hot Sauce that’s based on the original world warriors, which were used at Capcom Cup.
There’s Blanka’s Electric Firestorm, Chun-Li’s Spinning Tornado, Dhalsim’s Mystic Serenity, E. Honda’s Sumo Spice, Guile’s Patriot Inferno, Ken’s Flaming Strike, M. Bison’s Sinister Inferno, Ryu’s Dragon Blaze and Zangief’s Iron Muscle.
Out of all of them, Blanka’s is presumably the hottest since it combines “Carolina Reaper peppers with the sweetness of pineapple and mango” followed by Bison’s with its “ghost peppers and a touch of dark chocolate.”
The unfortunate part, however, is these sauces are only currently available in the United Kingdom after launching in Fall 2023, which stinks because they are pretty cheap and affordable — and probably why we hadn’t really heard of them before.
Single bottles retail for £6.00 (around $7.60 USD) while the gift packs containing three sauce bottles are £15.00 (around $19 USD).
