Thaiger Uppercut is back for 2024 as the premier Thai fighting game event and as usual it’ll be taking place in Bangkok, Thailand.

Thaiger Uppercut 2024 has the honor of being the final event on the Tekken World Tour and it’s a Master Event to boot, meaning that this is the tournament that will finalize the standings for this year’s Tekken World Tour circuit, so obviously many hopefuls have decided to fly out for the event in the hopes of securing their spot in the finals, to the tune of more than 230 entrants.

Next in line for signups is Street Fighter 6 at over 120 followed by Guilty Gear Strive at more than 60 and Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising at just above 50. Dragon Ball FighterZ, King of Fighters 15 and Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike each passed the 30 participant mark while Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, King of Fighters ’98 and Under Night In-Birth 2 [Sys:celes] all landed more than 20 players each followed finally by Bloody Roar 2 which has 18 signups.

It’s also a Gold Event for Guilty Gear Strive and Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising on the Arc World Tour, a SNK World Championship qualification event for King of Fighters 15 as well as a Power Event on the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour circuit.

Streaming is being done at Tekken, TGU Main and TGU 1.
