The highly anticipated Terry Bogard gameplay trailer for Street Fighter 6 was unveiled Tuesday at the Gamescom as part of the Opening Night Live kickoff event.
The crossover will official begin when Terry releases on September 24. You can see the iconic SNK character’s latest presentation after the jump below as the full trailer embed awaits.
As per the usual with newcomers, Capcom hits us first with Terry’s introduction in the game’s single player World Tour Mode. It seems players will be visiting the Pao Pao Cafe 6 in WT Mode wherein other iconic SNK figures like Joe Higashi and Blue Mary await in the background. Pao Pao Cafe 6 is also a brand new playable stage for the game.
Mr. Bogard has a whopping seven different special attacks he can use to combo and juggle his foes about arenas. Indeed in many of the sequences we see in the trailer, Terry first bounces his opposition up into the air before continuing to hit them with additional strikes.
Here’s a list of the specials that the Fatal Fury poster boy will have in Street Fighter 6:
Passing Sway: A unique target combo that moves to the back “lane” of the stage when it hits, then has Terry reappear on either side of his opponent with Jumping Lariat or Jumping Knee – a unique mechanic carried over directly from the Fatal Fury series.
Power Wave: Launch a fireball projectile that travels along the ground, with the light version moving slower and the medium version igniting a bigger wave
Burn Knuckle: A forward thrusting punch, useful for surprises and closing distance. The light version, Quick Burn, reels off a hook, then a downward punch that can’t be blocked while crouching.
Buster Wolf: Terry’s Level 1 Super Art charges him forward with a piercing thrust, firing off a blast of energy, and is invincible on start-up.
Power Geyser: Terry’s Level 2 Super Art erupts a volcanic explosion that pushes opponents away. If it hits, expend 3 Drive Gauge bars to follow-up with a Twin Geyser. And if that hits, spend 1 Super Art gauge for the iconic Triple Geyser.
Rising Fang: Terry’s Level 3 Super Art showcases a lethal sequence of attacks featuring his iconic moves that end with a powerful blast.
For an alternate costume Terry receives his brown jacket from his Garou: Mark of the Wolves appearance. This is the same style he’ll be using when the upcoming sequel Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves releases in early 2025.
