After first crossing paths over 20 years ago, Capcom and SNK are working together once again with Terry Bogard joining Street Fighter 6 representing the start of a new era between the legendary fighting game developers.
Capcom just announced the Terry Arrives Fighting Pass for SF6 to help celebrate the special occasion that will be available shortly.
It appears the developers are not skimping out on the party favors here either with the rewards put on display that players can unlock.
As for the premium avatar items up for grabs this time around, you won’t be able to dress up as Terry, but rather his closest allies.
Andy Bogard’s top, pants, shoes and wrist guards can all be acquired at different levels along with Joe Higashi’s headband.
Capcom usually offers a variant of one of these costume pieces as one of their free rewards though we don’t know what that’s going to be yet.
As for what else is included for those who get the premium pass, there will be a new Challenger Screen with the SNK logo as well as a photo frame referencing the first Fatal Fury character select screen with the King of Fighters at the top along with Andy and Joe’s pixel portraits across the sides.
They even went so far as to add a trio of Fatal Fury Special music options with Kurikinton (America Stage 1) Terry Bogard theme, Pasta (Italy Stage) Andy Bogard theme and A New Poem That the South Thailand Wants to Tell (Thai Stage) Joe Higashi theme.
The references go beyond the original three fighters as well with the likes of Kim Kaphwan, Duck King and Jubei Yamada showing up as chibi stickers along with Joe and Andy too.
It appears they won’t really be referencing Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves at all here with the “newest” reference being just a Title for Garou: Mark of the Wolves.
The one thing Capcom did not do, however, was add a NeoGeo title to the Classic Game selection here, as they instead went with their own Battle Circuit beat ’em up.
The Battle Hub will also be receiving an SNK x Street Fighter 6 makeover for the occasion as well for a limited time.
Assuming this Fighting Pass is priced the same as the rest, the Terry Arrives premium pass should cost 250 Fighter coins ($5 USD), which players can earn back if they complete all of the reward levels.
The new Fighting Pass will be available later tonight after the current server maintenance ends and new update goes live in SF6 to download.
We don’t know how long the new Fighting Pass will be available for yet, but it’ll likely expire right before Terry actually arrives on the scene on September 24.
