The Defence Headquarters has vowed to capture notorious terrorist and bandit leader, Bello Turji, who has been using social media platforms like TikTok to taunt communities and flaunt his ill-gotten gains.
At a media briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, assured that Turji’s reign of terror would soon come to an end.
“On the issue of Turji, like I said, he is just a deranged individual who feels powerful, but I can bet you that it is just a matter of time. We are going to get him, and I can assure you within the shortest possible time, we are going to address that issue.”

Turji has been using social media to threaten communities, celebrate his conquests, and display huge sums of cash collected as ransoms from kidnapped victims.
However, Gen. Musa described him as a “deranged individual” with no allegiance to anybody, and his followers as a “bunch of deranged individuals”.
The CDS urged the public to collaborate with security agencies to deny Turji and his followers the ability to move freely within communities.
“Please do not give them any support. Do not give them information on the movement of troops because this is what is happening. Most of the areas where this thing is continuing is because we have informants within the communities.”
Gen. Musa’s assurance comes after a joint meeting of the Military, Police, and Para-Military security agencies, aimed at strategizing on how to tackle the growing insecurity in the country.
