Tekken 8’s been out for just under a month already, and it seems like we’re about to know how most of the rest of 2024 is going to look for the new fighting game.
Bandai Namco and the main development team are scheduled to host a special Tekken Talk Live broadcast tonight to discuss the content release and update schedule for the 3D fighter.
The broadcast itself is scheduled to begin at midnight PST / 3 a.m. EST though there’s no confirmation as to how long it’s going to last.
This Tekken Talk Live will be hosted by Tekken Project Director Katsuhiro Harada, Producer Michael Murray, Game Director Kohei ‘Nakatsu’ Ikeda and Yasuda E-Sports from Bandai Namco.
Tekken’s post-release roadmap is set to be revealed during the stream, which should give players a much better idea of when DLC and new updates are going to release and any more new features that may be coming.
Eddy Gordo was already announced as the first DLC character for Tekken 8, and though we probably won’t learn the identities of the other three yet, there’s a good chance we’ll at least get a more precise release window for them.
They’ll also likely be discussing the next update to Version 1.02.01 and hopefully tell players what exactly is going into the Tekken Shop that’ll seemingly add microtransactions for the game.
You can watch the Tekken Talk Live broadcast right here with us when the time is right or on the official Tekken Twitch or YouTube channels.
