There’s a new Tekken 8 update available today for players to download just over three weeks after Heihachi Mishima was revived to rejoin the game as its latest DLC character.
Bandai Namco just released the full patch notes for their Version 1.09.01 update in Tekken 8 that provides some changes to the fighters and free currency for players.
Alisa and Dragunov are each receiving a handful of changes that amount to mostly nerfs for the characters while Heihachi, Nina and Devil Jin are also getting some general adjustments.
Since there are balance changes, all previous replays and tips will be unavailable from the prior version.
Tekken is also adding some new content to acquire character and avatar customization packs and items with one being free and the rest premium.
Special Ghosts are also going to appear in the Tekken Fight Lounge, apparently including Director Katsuhiro Harada, and defeating them will net you more special items as well.
This will likely be the last notable update for Tekken 8 before the Tekken World Tour Finals 2024 begins in early December.
Although it’s not mentioned specifically in the patch notes, players can receive 500 Tekken Coins for free by logging in between October 29 and November 26.
This is part of the apology from Bandai Namco for how the company handled the Genmaji Temple stage DLC situation earlier this month.
While the patch itself is slated to go live at 7 p.m. PT tonight, October 28, it won’t go fully into effect until the server maintenance ends around 10 p.m. PT.
You can check out the full patch notes below, which can also be found on the official Tekken website.
