It’s already been 6 months since Tekken 8 officially hit the scene, and though we just got Lidia Sobieska as the second DLC character, it’s apparently already time for a new update.
Bandai Namco is now performing server maintenance on Tekken to implement the new Version 1.06.02 update for the fighting game that we now have the patch notes for.
According to the official postings, the maintenance period was scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET and run through 11:30 p.m. PT / 2:30 p.m. ET.
While the servers are down, all online features for the game will remain unavailable including matchmaking, lobbies, leaderboards, the in-game shop and more — though the update itself can be downloaded starting at 7 p.m. PT.
Since last month’s patch bringing in Lidia, Photo Mode and more was the big Summer update, this one is significantly smaller though still makes a few changes to the game.
The Polish Prime Minister herself received changes to four of her moves basically constituting bug fixes / behavior adjustments, but a few are considered light nerfs for the character.
Bandai Namco previously said they’re done with larger balance updates for the rest of this year, so there’s nothing else on that front here.
Instead, the Tekken Shop is adding legacy costumes for Lee and Steve as well as a new avatar skin.
Even with Lidia being the only one getting adjusted here, however, previous replays and tips from the prior update will still be made unavailable.

– ‘DOWNLOADED REPLAYS’, ‘MY REPLAY & TIPS’: Replay data from before the update will be unavailable for playback.
– ‘ONLINE REPLAY’: Replay data from before the update will be deleted.
– ‘SUPER GHOST BATTLE’, ‘GHOST MATCH’: Character behavior and move properties will reflect that of the post-update state.
