It’s been announced that Tekken 8 will be down for server maintenance in preparation for a new patch. According to Kohei Ikeda, Director of Tekken 8, patch notes are being prepared and will be released as soon as they are ready.
The maintenance period is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday and last until 4:00 p.m. in Japan time. For those of us in North America, this maintenance period will actually start tonight at 5:30 p.m. PST / 8:30 p.m. EST.
As expected, online features such as the Ranked Mode will be unavailable during this period of time. Tekken 8 will then be updated to version 1.01.04.
A brief overview of the incoming patch tells us that there will be corrections to character move behaviors and performance adjustments. Additionally, there will be other bug fixes.
Of course, this means that replays from the previous version will become obsolete. Super Ghost Battle data will remain intact, but this can obviously mean that the interactions could change.
For now, it’s unknown how extensive these changes will be for Tekken 8. We could already be seeing some balance adjustments being made with this incoming update.
Patch notes are in preparation and will be released as soon as completed. https://t.co/KPLf9ckP8c
