It hasn’t even been a full month since Heihachi Mishima launched as the latest character in Tekken 8, but there’s already a new and notable patch on the way tonight.
Bandai Namco is getting ready to launch the Version 1.09.01 update for Tekken 8 shortly, but first they need to perform some server maintenance in the game — and now the full patch notes can also be found here.
The developers revealed the maintenance is scheduled to begin today, October 28, at 6:30 p.m. PT / 9:30 ET and run through approximately 10 p.m. PT / 1 a.m. ET.
Meanwhile, the actual update is set to be ready to download around 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET.
During this time, all online features will remain unavailable including matchmaking, leaderboards, the in-game shop and rewards.
As for the contents of this update, we seem to already know a bit about it from being mentioned in the previous Version 1.08 patch notes.
Bandai Namco noted they are looking at adjustments that will “affect the behavior of certain characters” with Dragunov and Alisa mentioned specifically.
These changes were said to apply to the tracking on some of their attacks and how the opponents react when it though we won’t know the full scope of the balance adjustments until the new patch notes drop soon.
On top of that, this new update should also include 500 Tekken Coins for free that are said to be offered from October 29 through November 26 for everyone who logs on during that period.
This is part of the apology to Tekken players that Bandai Namco previously announced after the company received pushback for how they handled the Genmaji Stage DLC earlier this month.
Stay tuned to EventHubs for the full patch notes and more information as it becomes available.
