It’s a bit crazy to think that Tekken 8 released over two months ago already, and their first DLC character is just about to drop.
Bandai Namco will be performing server maintenance today on Tekken 8 to implement Eddy Gordo for Year 1 Pass holders as well as the new Version 1.03.01 update.
As was previously stated, the maintenance is scheduled to begin today, April 1, at 2:30 p.m. PDT / 5:30 p.m. EDT and potentially last through 9 p.m. PDT / 12 a.m. EDT.
The update itself should be available to download starting around 3 p.m. PDT / 6 p.m. EDT though we don’t know the size of that just yet.
During the maintenance period, no online content can be accessed including online matches, leaderboards, the Tekken Shop, lobbies and more.

One of the major additions, however, will be to put in the new Tekken Fight Pass as their version of a battle pass that’ll of course offer both free and premium versions with their own rewards.
Pricing, level up requirements and items haven’t been unveiled just yet, but you can expect quite a bit more cosmetic items to be hitting the game soon.
On top of that, the Tekken Shop itself will also be updated with new costume sets and an Eddy avatar skin.
Some new features are also coming in as well with the ability for players to end online matches without penalty together if the network connection is poor plus a few others.
Eddy will be available only for owners of the Playable Character Year 1 Pass today as part of their 72-hour early access, so those looking to pick the dancer fighter up by himself will need to wait until Thursday, April 4.
