Lidia Sobieska is slated to be the next DLC fighter coming to Tekken 8. IGN was recently given the opportunity to try the character out early before she’s released.
As such, IGN has released a new video that showcases how Lidia Sobieska operates in Tekken 8. Needless to say, fans of the character from Tekken 7 won’t want to miss out on this early information.
It’s stated early in the video that Lidia Sobieska in Tekken 8 has four different stances she can adopt during gameplay — Cat Stance, Horse Stance, Striking Wolf Stance, and Heaven & Earth Stance.
Needless to say, much of this character’s gameplay revolves around keeping the opponent guessing with her constant stance switches. Of course, it’s also stated that she has plenty of good buttons that punish opponents for mashing, as well as attacks that leave her at plus frames on block once the opponent properly respects her options.
Due to these stances, it’s said that Lidia is a particularly complex character, even by Tekken’s standards. Many of her moves will cause her to go into one of her four stances, whether they’re on hit or block.
Her Heaven & Earth Stance is particularly unique since it’s only accessible while Heat Mode is active. By simply activating this stance, she permanently gains a charge which improves the damage of her moves for the rest of the match. This can apparently be done up to three times.

For the time being, Lidia Sobieska’s release date is unknown, but that’s seemingly about to change with tonight’s Tekken Talk. Based on what’s seen in the video, Lidia appears to be ready to release very soon.
