There have been multiple reports regarding listings at local game shops indicating that Tekken 8 will be released on January 21, 2024. Additionally, the PlayStation 5 and Steam store pages have also been indicating that the game will be released on January 25, 2024.
This has led many to believe that Tekken 8 could see some sort of Early Access release even though it was originally advertised that the game would be releasing on January 26, 2024. However, Bandai Namco has recently confirmed that this actually isn’t the case.
Push Square reports that they had reached out to Bandai Namco regarding the January 21 promotional posters that were posted to Reddit. According to Push Square, Bandai Namco told them that the date was some sort of typo or mistake.
In other words, Tekken 8 is still scheduled to be released on January 26, 2024. This is also likely an explanation as to why the PlayStation 5 and Steam store pages are listing January 25 as Tekekn 8’s release date.
Tekken 8 will be launching with a roster of 32 characters consisting of Kazuya Mishima, Jin Kazama, Jun Kazama, Devil Jin, Azucena, Reina, Victor Chevalier, Kuma, Panda, Alisa, Nina Williams, Asuka Kazama, King, Bryan Fury, Paul Phoenix, Claudio, Lars, Raven, Lee, Sergei Dragunov, Feng Wei, Leo, Shaheen, Hwoarang, Leroy Smith, Steve Fox, Jack-8, Lili, Yoshimitsu, Ling Xiaoyu, Zafina, and Marshall Law.
For now, the Tekken 8 Demo is available with Kazuya, Jin, Paul, and Nina usable as playable characters.
