Along with Eddy Gordo’s official release date for Tekken 8, Bandai Namco has released the full set of patch notes for the upcoming update. On April 1, the game’s first DLC character will be added to the roster via early access, and we’ll see the latest patch implemented also.
This new update will add numerous balance changes to many of the characters on the roster. You can view the full patch notes below.
Bandai Namco has noted that the new balance patch is mainly focused on unintended move behavior. However, they are currently working on a full-fledged balance update that will aim to buff characters who haven’t been able to fully show off their uniqueness that is scheduled to drop sometime in May.
This update, ver. 1.03.01, will also add a new Tekken Fight Pass feature to the game that can be found in the weekly shop. With the Fight Pass, players can complete daily and weekly missions in online matches to earn various items.
The premium tier for the Fight Pass will allow players to unlock more luxurious items, as well as Tekken Coins that will help you buy more in-game items in the Tekken Shop.
One of the best additions in this update, though, looks to be the new ability to terminate online matches if the connection isn’t up to par. “A feature has been added to RANKED MATCH, QUICK MATCH, and GROUP MATCH modes to allow for the termination and invalidation of matches if the network connection quality falls below certain specified conditions,” is how Bandai Namco describes it.
