Tekken 8 Demo releases December 14 for the PlayStation 5 and December 21 for Xbox Series and Steam

On the official Tekken 8 account on Twitter, it’s been announced that there will be a Tekken 8 Demo. The Demo will be released on released on December 14 for PlayStation 5 users and December 21 for Xbox Series and Steam users.

This will provide players with the opportunity to practice playing Tekken 8 before the game is officially released worldwide on January 26, 2024. It will also give a sneak peek at the beginning of Tekken 8’s story.

According to a follow up Tweet made by Bandai Namco, players will be able to play the first chapter of the story mode which has been titled “The Dark Awakens.” This seems to imply that the first chapter will have the player playing as either Kazuya or Jin.

Additionally, the Tekken 8 Demo will give players access to the local versus fighting mode. The playable characters will be Jin, Kazuya, Paul and Nina.

According to MarkMan, we’ll also be getting access to Arcade Quest, though its features will be a little different compared to the final release version of the mode.

Super Ghost Battle will also become available at a later time during this demo period. Players will also be able to partially access the Gallery mode before the game is released.

With Heihachi Mishima now confirmed dead at the conclusion of Tekken 7’s events, the Tekken storyline will now seemingly revolve around the interactions between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama. Of course, it will also be interesting to see how Reina and Jun fits into all of this as well.

Tekken 8’s starting base roster will consist of 32 characters, including Victor, Azucena, and Reina as the newcomers.
