Since Tekken 8 was recently released worldwide, players have been grinding out sessions to get a feel of the game’s meta. It still feels like it might be a little too early for tier lists, but some players are already beginning to understand which characters have the most potential to be the strongest.
Needless to say, FATE|Khan, the second place and ninth place Tekken 7 finalist for Evo 2022 and Evo 2023 respectively, recently shared some of his early thoughts about Tekken 8. With this, he also appeared to share which six combatants he believes are the best in the game at the moment.
According to Khan, the S tier characters in Tekken 8 right now are Dragunov, Feng, Jun, Azucena, Reina, and Devil Jin. Incidentally, this suggests that Victor Chevalier is the weakest of the newcomers.
Khan also points out that side stepping has been improved from Tekken 7. He also seems to think that the power of side stepping should be reverted to how it was in the previous game.
Like a lot of other players, Khan notes that the Heat System’s new chip damage mechanic is too strong. He also says that chip damage should receive a nerf.
