Vovida Communications Limited is a leading communications company focused on providing next-generation voice and IT services.Responsibilities

Conceptualize, design, execute and project manage all enterprise project deliveries and deployments.
Provide technical expertise around all technology deployments.
Manage the IT team to ensure the effective delivery and support of high-quality IT services to clients across the country
Ensure best practice is adhered to, promote team working, ensure good communication and prioritize workload to help drive up and maintain the stability of all systems, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Ensure regular one on one meetings are conducted with Team leads and location leads and perform annual personal development reviews. Coordinate training for the team where required.
Manage communication strategy for all corporate technology changes
1st/2nd/3rd line incident management and tracking from inception to resolution within agreed timescales
Act as a 24×7 escalation point for issues impacting the client and company’s revenues
Work collaboratively with other Infrastructure and technology teams for all IT related policy
Recommendation, design, installation, testing and delivery of service improvements
Create and implement standard processes, policies, user guides etc for the end user landscape
Actively guide users to self-sufficiency through increased understanding of systems and technology
Liaise with Infrastructure teams and manage relationships with consulting partners and 3rd party vendors for support where necessary. Manage the procurement of all corporate IT equipment
Manage and provide supervision of enterprise IT incident/problem/change management processes in line with business directives
Act as the senior IT liaison between IT, Finance, Legal and HR teams.
Work closely with Management to define and maintain the annual Capital and Operational IT budgets and ensure that financial targets are met.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including the Computer Misuse Act, the Data Protection and Health & Safety Acts (as applicable to IT usage), GDPR, etc.

Job Requirements

Minimum of a Master's in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or information technology.
Must have CCNA certificate
5-7 years experience in the telecom or similar job specification
A working understanding of IT infrastructure, network design,
experience in Project Management

Skills & Competence:

Substantial experience fault finding in complex system and network infrastructures
Ability to work with and manage cross functional teams
Detailed knowledge of, and experience with all core Microsoft technologies from an architecture and administration perspective (Server, SQL, AD, Win10, DNS/DHCP, PowerShell, SCCM & application deployment, endpoint encryption, VDI)
Knowledge of, and experience with core network infrastructure technologies (firewalls, routing, switching, LAN, WLAN, TCP/IP)
Deep understanding of ITIL/ITSM and experience working in a change-controlled environment
Experience of Senior Management liaison and should be familiar with presenting information of a complex technical nature to a variety of audiences
Proven experience as a Server Administrator or similar role for Windows / Linux-based Servers
Configuration of servers, operating systems administration, hardening, load balancers, firewall including but not limited to management of users, processes, resource contention, preventive maintenance, and management of updates & patches to ensure that the system is properly updated
Re-installation in the event of system crash/failures
Periodic health check of the systems, troubleshooting problems, analyzing and implementing rectification measures
Implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures for the maintenance of the infrastructure
Management of the usernames, roles, and passwords of all the relevant subsystems, including, but not limited to servers, applications, devices, etc.
Implementing security on the Internet and Intranet
Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
Install and configure software and hardware
Manage network servers and technology tools, Set up accounts and workstations
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
Troubleshoot issues and outages, ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Upgrade patching of systems with new releases and models time to time
Maintain code repository server and access configuration
Maintain cloud infrastructure, application and database backup
Configure and maintain Server scaling and high availability & disaster recovery
Application Deployment on .Net/Java/PHP-based applications on Windows/Linux Servers
