Taylor, at the age of 34, was in a relationship with Joe for a solid six years. Then, outta nowhere, in April, the news of their split hit the headlines. During their time together, Taylor, the music sensation, and Joe, the actor, had a few professional rendezvous. One of them was for her 2020 album, folklore. Joe was given credit under the alias William Bowery.
Now, here’s a fun fact. That very collaboration led Joe to bag his first Grammy. You can check out the entire list of 2024 Grammy winners if you’re curious.
Joe spilled some beans to The Guardian in 2022. He said, “It wasn’t like we had a schedule, like ‘Hey, it’s 5 PM, let’s try and write a song.’ Nah, it was more spontaneous.” He explained how it all started with messing around on a piano, singing off-key, and then someone overhearing them. And then, it was like, “Why not see what happens if we finish this song together?”
Joe didn’t stop there. He added, “I mean, ‘fun’ is such a cliché word, but yeah, it was a lot of fun. It was never a work obligation or a ‘Let’s do this because we have to release it’ kind of thing. It was as casual as baking sourdough during the lockdown.”
