Music icon Taylor Swift may have been in a suite at Saturday night’s Chiefs-Dolphins wild-card playoff game, but given that the kickoff temperature was below zero degrees in Kansas City, she still needed to wear something warm.
Fortunately, she had a custom coat on hand to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Chiefs, designed by another member of an NFL couple: Kristin Juszczyk.
Juszczyk, whose husband Kyle is the 49ers’ eight-time Pro Bowl fullback, created the jacket and a similar one for Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Swift and Brittney Mahomes sat in the suite together for the game behind frosty windows as the Chiefs beat Miami 26-7 to move on to next week’s divisional round.

Swift may be the most visible person to wear a Juszczyk-made item so far, but the designer has made pieces for others around the NFL this season, including 49ers wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, as well as gold medal Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, who married Packers safety Jonathan Owens last year. The vest she made for Samuel was a tribute to teammate Brock Purdy.
Juszczyk the player celebrated the debut of his wife’s jacket on social media and relayed that she made the piece using Chiefs jerseys, just as she uses 49ers jerseys in her other work, like the throwback No. 44 jacket she made before the Niners’ season finale.
After Swift, who might be next? San Francisco tight end George Kittle lauded the Swift and Mahomes jackets and has made plenty of noise about wanting his own piece, but he may have some competition from within the Juszczyk household: “When are we going to see your husband…??” he commented on a recent post.
