Fans of Capcom, SNK, and the Versus series were pretty shocked to see the reveal of SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos at Evo 2024 this past weekend. Not only was this 21-year-old game making a sudden return, but the companies involved also revealed that it was already available for purchase by the end of the announcement.
You can currently purchase SVC Chaos digitally on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, but if you’re more of the collector type and want something physical, then you’ll definitely want to hear this. A limited edition physical version of SVC Chaos is en route in the US and the UK, and they’ll be coming with some slick retro-style goodies that you’ll want to get your hands on.
The UK-based physical edition is being handled by Pix’n Love Games, who have several options for you to choose from. At the time of writing this, pre-orders are open for the first edition (standard physical release), a collector’s edition, and the biggest and most expensive offering, the deluxe edition.
All three versions are being made for both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch platforms, and at this point in time all of them are still available for pre-order except the deluxe edition on PS4.
As mentioned previously, these releases are limited edition which means only a set amount are being made and sold. The standard edition is limited to 2,000 copies, the collector’s 1,000 copies, and deluxe will only see 100 made.

The standard version on both platforms has a list price of 34,90 € (around $38 USD), the collector’s runs for 79,90 € (about $86 USD), and the deluxe has a price tag of 249,90 € which translates to about $270 USD.
When it comes to the fixings you’ll receive if you opt to pre-order, the standard version simply includes a region-free game that comes in a physical box with a reversible cover. Collector’s edition buyers will receive the game (naturally), an official NEOGEO snap case with a reversible cover, a 64-page artbook, an original soundtrack in CD format with a digital download too, and four double-sided lithographs.
Deluxe edition owners will have everything in the collector’s edition, as well as a large painting printed on an aluminum plate with official art by Eisuke Ogura. This art piece stands 27 in x 19 in in size.
Those of you who are stateside and want a physical version of SVC Chaos are also in luck as Limited Run Games currently has one in the works. We’ll have to stay tuned for more details on what it will include and when it will be released.
