Manchester United are doing everything they can at the moment to secure one of their top January targets, with the Red Devils even now getting support from the player’s family.
Going into the winter transfer window, United had two clear priorities. Sign a striker, and sign a left-wing-back.
The club’s need for a prolific goalscorer is evident, with only 11 of their 70 goals coming from strikers Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee. Unfortunately The Red Devils seem no closer to signing a clinical finisher.
However, they are on the brink of their first signing under Ruben Amorim, ready to replace the routinely injured Luke Shaw as the first choice left-wing-back.
United are set to be launching another push to sign Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu after previous bids have been rejected.
The Italian team are holding out for a revised valuation of €40 million, with United’s initial bid of €23 million falling short of the asking price.
Now, reports from Italy have claimed that United are receiving support from Dorgu’s own family who are keen for a move to Old Trafford.

Patrick Dorgu’s family want a transfer to Manchester United
SoloLecce has reported that Dorgu’s family have been in Salento since Thursday when they arrived ahead of Lecce’s 4-0 weekend defeat to Inter Milan.
It’s reported that Dorgu’s “entire family” are there, which isn’t a regular occurrence for the 20-year-old. Dorgu’s parents are reportedly pushing for his move to Manchester United, seeing it as a “life changing” step for their son.
However, Dorgu has already agreed personal terms to join United, so all that’s left is for the two clubs to agree on the transfer fee.
