The Monastery of St. Basil and the Convent of St. Nicholas in the village of Nikolskoye, Donetsk, have been a constant target during the war in Ukraine.
And they were shelled again, twice on Wednesday.

One worker was seriously wounded when shrapnel tore off his hand, and one of the shells destroyed the monastery generator, reports patriarchia.ru.
Having been hit several times since March, there isn’t a single building left undamaged. In particular, the Holy Dormition Cathedral is severely damaged.
People in the monasteries have also been killed in attacks, including monks, nuns, and refugees.
They have housed hundreds of refugees in the past, but now there are 78 people living there, left without electricity or water. Russian volunteers were able to get food, medicine, and a new generator.
The monks and nuns have declared that they won’t leave their monasteries.
