Students Praise Dr Godwin Agbor’s Scholarship Scheme as Life-Changing

Students across Obudu, Bekwarra, and Obanliku (OBO) Federal Constituency have expressed deep gratitude to Dr. Godwin Agbor for his recently concluded Scholarship/Grant Scheme, describing the initiative as “humanistic” and transformative.

Beneficiaries told the media that the support was a rare and generous gesture, especially coming from a private individual who is neither a public office holder nor a wealthy magnate but chose to help out of his personal resources. Many recipients revealed that this was their first time receiving such support and believe it will open new opportunities for their future academic and career pursuits.

They prayed for blessings upon Dr. Agbor and pledged to use the funds responsibly to advance their educational goals.

Mcpaul Unimke Iyushi, Committee Secretary for the scheme, commended Dr. Agbor’s transparency and dedication. He noted that previous similar initiatives by others had failed to deliver, leading to distrust. “You kept to your promise and saved our integrity as a committee… We are committed to delivering more jobs for you in the future because you are a man of your word,” Iyushi said.

Samuel Ayu, President of the National Association of Obanliku Students, added, “This effort of yours won’t be forgotten in a hurry. We pray God grants you success in all your endeavors and replenishes you a thousand folds.”

The scholarship was sponsored by Dr. Godwin Agbor, Medical Director of Omega Agbor Clinic and Maternity, to help meet the educational needs of students and promote academic excellence.

Additional Beneficiaries are Veronica Odey, Utugwang South, Obudu; Paul Unimke Iyishu; Deborah Mark Nyamangigwe, Obanliku; Solomon Murphy, Obudu; Collins Ukpang, Obudu.
