The US installment of the Street Fighter League is back this year and starts today with six teams competing for the golden winner’s title.
Players participating in this year’s installment are NASR|AngryBird, Bandits|MenaRD, FLY|Punk, NASR|BigBird, Bandits|Caba, SR|NuckleDu, DouyuTV|Xiao Hai, RR|Mono, NL, Xian, Samurai, BLG|Zhen, OilKing, BLG|Vxbao, DCQ, Nephew, Chris Tatarian, ChrisCCH, DualKevin, RR|Ajax Fidelity, Reynald, PR Balrog, FlashMetroid and Bananaken.
Although the American version of the Street Fighter League has been a staple for the last few years, this is the first time we’ll be seeing the competition tackling the brand new Street Fighter 6, so excitement is at an all-time high.
The six teams will play in a double round robin format, meaning they face each other team twice, once as the Home Team and once more as the Away Team, and points will be awarded based on set wins, with the final set counting for double as many points as each of the first two sets do on their own.
As the Away Team, you need to declare in advance what your player order is meaning that the Home Team has a distinct advantage of getting to choose their matchups relatively freely. Once the group stage is over, the top 4 teams will qualify to a bracket where a final winner be crowned.

Note 2: The final match in any set carries the weight of twenty points if won, while prior matches are worth ten points each.
Note 3: For matches that end up even in score, there will be an extension match between two of the team’s players which is a first-to-1 and is worth five points.
