Street Fighter 6's new Outfit 3 costumes now available

Capcom’s latest update for Street Fighter 6 is now available. Fans can finally pick up and purchase Outfit 3 for all 18 of the game’s launch cast.

The latest update also brought with it new game mechanic improvements, bug fixes for characters, and some additional seasonal content. Continue reading for all of the information you need on Outfit 3.

This first wave of costumes adds one new alternate look for each of the launch roster fighters. At this time, there are two DLC characters — Rashid and A.K.I. — who are also playable, and two more are set to follow over the next several months.

Unfortunately, both Rashid and A.K.I. did not receive new outfits with this first batch of costumes. Capcom has confirmed, however, that all four of the first year DLC characters — Rashid, A.K.I., Ed, and Akuma will get their Outfit 3 when Akuma is released in Spring 2024.

There is no set theme for this costume set, despite every launch character receiving new digs simultaneously. Characters like Blanka can now dress as his trademark Blanka-chan doll, where Ryu and Ken get a more casual look this time around.

One of the most important details about Outfit 3 that fans want to know about is pricing. Well, I regret to report that these new costumes are about as expensive as everyone expected.

Each outfit from the new batch can be purchased individually for 300 Fighter Coins. From the looks of it, there does not exist any full bundle for all costumes that comes with a discounted price tag, so if you want to purchase all of them you’ll have to do so individually and for a lot of real life money.

Unlike Outfit 2 before it, Outfit 3 also cannot be unlocked through the single-player World Tour mode. You also cannot purchase them with Drive Tickets.

As a quick reminder, Street Fighter 6 does not allow players to purchase just the coin amount needed for their item. Instead, you’ll have to buy set Fighter Coin bundles that break down like this:

250 Fighter Coins – $4.99 USD

610 Fighter Coins – $11.99 USD

1,250 Fighter Coins – $23.99 USD

2,750 Fighter Coins – $49.99 USD

With a single costume coming in at 300 Fighter Coins, this means you’ll have to purchase the second bundle option and spend $12 just to buy one costume if you don’t have an remaining coins hanging around.

Lastly, Capcom has added a new feature pertaining to your opponent’s costume. The “Opponent Outfit Settings” feature now lets you select what costume you see your opponent using during online play.
