Street Fighter 6 to be featured during IGN Fan Fest 2023 next week with potential for reveals

Capcom Cup IX is about ready to kick off here in just a few days, but that won’t be the only place Street Fighter 6 is going to show up for.

IGN has confirmed that Street Fighter 6 will be one of the featured games at IGN Fan Fest 2023 next week, which could include a reveal or 2 if we’re lucky.

As noted in their post, Thea Trinidad aka WWE’s Zelina Vega is going to be at the event to discuss her involvment with SF6 as one of the in-game commentators.

While IGN hasn’t specifically confirmed any new announcements for the fighting game, the tweet certainly leaves that door open.

“Tune in to #IGNFanFest on February 17 and 18 to learn more about this highly-anticipated fighting game, Thea’s involvement, and much more.”

The fact that IGN included the “much more” part has us extremely curious though we’re not going to bet big bucks on reveals being included considering the IGN Fan Fest is going on at the same time as Capcom Cup next weekend.

Capcom only has 3 characters left from SF6’s launch roster to show off with Zangief, Cammy and Lily, and the Capcom Cup finals would be the much more likely place for them to make an appearance.

That doesn’t mean IGN has nothing new to show, as there’s still very little of SF6’s World Tour mode and other features that Capcom has revealed up to this point and appeals more to general audiences.

A full schedule of the IGN Fan Fest won’t be released until February 10, so we’ll have to wait until then to see where and when Street Fighter 6 will be featured at the event.
