Street Fighter 6 server maintenance coming Tuesday night for M. Bison update

Although fans just received Akuma along with the Season 2 balance update just a month ago, there’s quite a bit more that’s about to drop for Street Fighter 6.

Capcom just revealed the server maintenance coming to SF6 in preparation for the new update bringing M. Bison and a bunch more changes to the game very shortly.

As revealed in their official post, the server maintenance is scheduled to begin Tuesday night, June 25, at 8 p.m. PT / 11 p.m. ET and last through around midnight PT / 3 a.m. ET.

During this time, all online functionality will remain unavailable including matchmaking, the Capcom Fighter Network, in-game shop, rewards and more, however, the update itself should likely become available to download while the servers are still down.

Obviously, the big addition is M. Bison kicking off the new Season 2 content for SF6 as its first DLC character, and though he can’t quite remember who he is, the dictator is bringing tricks new and old in his updated movelist to the battlefield.

Beyond the new fighter, Capcom is also adding quite a few new quality of life changes and features to SF6 in the upcoming patch too.

The game is receiving new visual adjustments to make the health bar glow, for example, when Critical Art becomes available along with changes to how the Drive Gauge is displayed.

There will also be a new shortcut allowing players to boot SF6 straight into Training Mode from the start screen.

Moreover, Replays, match settings and notifications are set to get some handy QOL improvements too.

Stay tuned to EventHubs for more updates and the full list of patch notes when they become available.
