Street Fighter 6 finally received Outfit 3 costumes at the start of December, and those may not be the only things getting added this holiday season.
It appears as though SF6 is scheduled to get another content drop later this month, but Capcom hasn’t said what that could be yet.
By going to the official Buckler’s Boot Camp page for SF6, they feature an event schedule that lays out their game plans for the month including Fighting Passes, special tournaments, collaborations and more.
What’s most interesting, however, is they have a red marker indicating a “New product release” like we saw earlier this month on December 1 for the Outfit 3 drop.
And if you look down the calendar, there’s another new product release right there on Friday, December 22 that doesn’t appear to match up with anything listed in-game.
So what’s up with that?
Well, as mentioned above, Capcom hasn’t said, but we can debunk some things it’s most likely not as well as some ideas as to what could be arriving soon.
Your first thought may be this could be Ed’s release date as the next DLC character, and while his official portrait did recently leak, Capcom has already confirmed he’s not coming until early 2024.
They also recently announced the Spy x Family vs. Street Fighter 6 collaboration on the way too, but that too won’t get here until January 2024 either.
Some holiday costumes may be welcome though it’s probably too soon after Outfit 3 to do more now — and Capcom is already facing backlash for how they’re handling the pricing of those.
So what is it then?
To be honest, we don’t really know, but we do have some ideas.
Our first thought was the start of a new, unannounced Fighting Pass for SF6 considering this drop is listed as the same day as the current holiday one ends.
While that does line up, Capcom hasn’t usually dropped Fighting Passes back to back like this since they started though there’s technically nothing stopping them from doing so.
If it’s not that, then our next best guess is another new collaboration for SF6 since Capcom seems to be loving those lately and multiple at a time.
We can’t really go back and check how previous Fighting Passes and new collabs were handled in this schedule, however, as it appears Capcom blocks the Web Archive from storing their SF6 site so we can’t see past calendars now.
There is also the chance this was done in error, but either way, we should be finding out pretty soon.
If you have any ideas or anything we may have missed, let us know in the comments.
