Another sales update for Street Fighter 6 has been released by Capcom today and it looks like the game continues to perform well.
The company behind the latest entry in the legendary fighting game franchise has unveiled that Street Fighter 6 has now sold over 4 million units globally.
“We’re excited to announce that Street Fighter 6 has sold over 4 million units globally!” wrote the official Street Fighter Twitter account. “Thank you for playing and for helping us reach this milestone! We hope you’re excited for the future of SF6 as we intend to release more content and hold more events!”
The last time we caught an update on the game’s sales performance was back at the end of July of this year. Then, we learned that not only had SF6 reached 3.77 million sold, but in its first year also more than doubled the sales of its predecessor, Street Fighter 5, in its first year on the market.
This means that between the start of July (the cut off for the last sales marker was the end of June) to now, Street Fighter 6 has sold roughly an additional 300,000 copies.

Street Fighter 6 saw its official launch on June 2, 2023, which means we’re about one year and three months into this game’s lifespan currently. Already at this point, the game is nearing the halfway mark of its expected overall lifetime sales figures.
Back in April of last year, Capcom President and COO Haruhiro Tsujimoto revealed the number he expects Street Fighter 6 to hit by the time the game has completed its full run. When all is said and done and there is no more content support happening for SF6, Tsujimoto says Capcom is aiming for 10 million units sold.
This isn’t an impossible figure by any means either, as Tsujimoto came to this conclusion as a result of Street Fighter 5 eventually hitting 7 million copies sold by the end of its lifespan. Not only has an official release on Xbox platforms from the get-go helped Street Fighter 6 (where Street Fighter 5 was a PlayStation/PC exclusive), but the reception to the title has also been very strong leading up to launch and throughout its first year among the masses.
From the looks of it, Capcom is just getting started with the festivities too as Season 2 has already created massive hype for the title. In just the second year of its life, Street Fighter 6 is not only getting two guest DLC characters in Fatal Fury’s own Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui, but Terry and Mai also act as the first ever guest fighters to join a mainline Street Fighter game in history.
Street Fighter 6’s trajectory is looking very good right now, and we hope that Capcom keeps this momentum up.
