Although Street Fighter 6 certainly has its problems, Capcom still managed to make one of, if not their most balanced initial version of a fighting game ever, and the data seems to back that up.
Data master Cat Cammy recently released an interesting new match up chart that compares the win rates of all SF6 characters in Master rank with a few added stipulations to try and show things on a closer to even playing field.
First off, this chart only takes into account ranked matches where both players have at least 1,700 MR with the opponents only being at most 50 MR points apart.
They used a sample size of 296,532 online sets where 77% of them completed the best two out of three setup.
When looking at the actual chart, Luke manages to come out on top although his total win rate is still only 50.77%.
His best match ups are shown to be Rashid and A.K.I. while he also has winning records over other strong characters like JP, Ken, Juri, Guile, Dee Jay and Blanka while his worst is fighting against Cammy.

Only nine characters in total have a win record above 50% under these stipulations with probably most of your expected fighters except Lily is up there too at number seven.
Even on the low end of the scale, there’s just three warriors who failed to reach 49% with Manon being at the bottom with 48.83%, which is still pretty darn good in terms of the spread.
Her only winning matches, however, were against Zangief and E. Honda though she did also go even against Luke.
As we’ve seen on some other lists, Dhalsim has the best and worst match ups where he’s beating both Lily and Gief over 67% of the time but is also getting smacked by Kimberly and Rashid over 61% of the time too.

Out of all the DLC characters, Ed is performing best right around the middle of the roster where he’s doing really well against Zangief, Ryu and Jamie while also beating Luke, but also getting hit hard by Dee Jay and Kimberly.
Like with Cat Cammy’s other rankings, there are other factors we need to take into account too that impact the data, especially how prevalent some characters are over others.
There are some match ups where there may only be 250 games on record while others may have over 3,000, but even then, the numbers are still pretty darn even.
Things could be changing up quite a bit in the near-ish future too with Akuma and Season 2 on the horizon, so hopefully things don’t get skewed too much with those on the way.
