Street Fighter 6 director reveals the name of M. Bison's horse and how the two first met

M. Bison, the first DLC character in Street Fighter 6’s Season 2 Character Pass, is officially available to purchase and play now. The former dictator launched earlier this week and the community is taking a swift liking to him — albeit with some concerns for how strong he might end up being.

Top tier potential aside, Street Fighter 6’s director Takayuki Nakayama has been promoting the new DLC character over on Twitter and recently shared a couple of interesting tidbits about M. Bison in the latest entry of the long-running fighting game franchise. The developer has revealed the name of M. Bison’s trusty steed, as well as some details on how he met his new horse.

Now, we heard previously that the name of Bison’s horse would be revealed within World Tour, Street Fighter 6’s big single player adventure. I haven’t played through Bison’s section myself, but after watching a couple of full playthroughs, I didn’t seem to come across this particular detail anywhere.

It’s possible that I just missed it or it is revealed somewhere else in World Tour, perhaps by an NPC. Either way, Nakayama outright tells us the name of the horse in his recent tweet, which we have the English translation for courtesy of our very own Nicholas “MajinTenshinhan” Taylor.

“M. Bison’s beloved horse Rosinante. In case anyone wants to cosplay,” wrote Nakayama alongside a handful of new concept art pieces of the steed from various angles. “The man and the horse became as one as they galloped through the long mountain roads of the Sierra Madre.

“The man with Psycho Power and the horse that would end up accompanying him, this is how they first encountered each other,” concluded Nakayama.

And there you have it. M. Bison’s horse in Street Fighter 6 is named Rosinante.

Though the two obviously share a connection, we still don’t know if the horse is Psycho Power-controlled like some of the fan theories suggested. Either way, M. Bison has some really cool stuff in Street Fighter 6, including a secret taunt that is tied to his Psycho Mine ability.
