Capcom has now fully let the cat out of the bag with Street Fighter 6’s final batch of Outfit 3 costumes, this time for the game’s first four DLC characters. Thanks to some footage from the AT&T Annihilator Cup tournament that took place yesterday and Capcom releasing an official trailer for them, we now know what Outfit 3 looks like for Rashid, A.K.I., Ed, and Akuma.
While we’ve had our own guesses on what the inspiration behind these new costumes is, Capcom has since gone ahead and released comments from the designers of the outfits that provide further details. We also get to see some slick new concept art for both Rashid and A.K.I.’s new digs.
The official Street Fighter Twitter account sent out a couple of tweets over the last couple days that share the new design artwork and comments for both Rashid and A.K.I.’s new costumes. Starting with A.K.I., we learn that the inspiration for her Outfit 3 design was actually F.A.N.G, her mentor.
“We designed this while imagining A.K.I. wanting to stand next to F.A.N.G. wearing an outfit with the same materials and silhouette,” Capcom explained. “She isn’t simply imitating F.A.N.G’s outfit, but is attempting to be close to him in her own stylish way.”
Whatever the inspiration, fans seem to be taking a big liking to A.K.I.’s new costume as it has floated to the top as the most popular of the new batch. There has even been a ton of fan art for A.K.I.’s new costume already.
Moving on to Rashid, from the looks of it we thought his new outfit gave him a sporty look, and that seems to be a fair description.
“Rashid is a FooTuber who streams himself doing parkour and extreme sports,” Capcom wrote. “We wanted to make this outfit sporty, with compression wear, a cap, sports sunglasses, etc. He also has some “tech-wear” since he’s naturally a gadget-loving character.”

Street Fighter 6’s Season 2 update, Akuma, and Outfit 3 for the game’s first four DLC characters will all be launching on May 22.
