Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 have served as the big draws for offline fighting game majors throughout the year, and this weekend was no exception.
DreamHack Atlanta 2024 managed to draw much of the top talent from across North America offering up a $10,000 prize pool for both SF6 and Tekken, so we’ve gone through and gathered up the character stat breakdowns for both games.
Starting out with Tekken 8, we ended up seeing 19 different mains in total with only 8 being repeats across the top 32.
There were 13 characters who didn’t see any play at all including as secondary picks though Heihachi was not tournament legal either since he just released a few days ago.
No Dragunovs made it to top 8, but we did end with an interesting spread of 2 Laws and Ninas along with JACK-8, Steve, Eddy and Lili.
Ninjakilla212 came over to Tekken 8 this year from his Mortal Kombat / Injustice roots and actually managed to win over many of the best players this region has to offer including PAR|JoeCrush twice.
You can check out the full Tekken breakdown below and see how it compares to the final Tekken World Tour Master event from this weekend at Thaiger Uppercut 2024 too.

As for Street Fighter’s top 32, 16 of the game’s now 24 characters saw main play with 9 repeats in total.
Chun-Li actually came out on top as the most popular pick among the upper bracket followed by Kimberly, which is another surprise judging by the other tournament results we’ve been seeing this season.
It appears that Luke and Akuma may be the perfect pairing too considering we saw at least 3 players use both of them at the event including the second place finisher TM|NoahTheProdigy.
This was also one of if not the first offline major where Terry Bogard was legal, but it seems no one was willing or able to take the newest DLC character to a top cut finish while A.K.I., Akuma, M. Bison and Rashid were all certainly running around.
The top 8 here consisted of 2 Chun-Li, Cammy, Luke, Rashid, Manon, A.K.I. and M. Bison where current Evo champion FLY|Punk would have a bit of a Woshige moment.
• Chun-Li – 4
• Kimberly – 3 (1)

• Luke – 3
• M. Bison – 2 (1)
