Steph Curry leaves Warriors game vs. Mavericks with lower leg injury

SAN FRANCISCO — Stephen Curry is scheduled to get an MRI on his left leg after he exited Saturday’s 119-113 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Curry was guarding a driving McKinley Wright IV when the two appeared to bang knees at the 2:01 mark of the third quarter. Curry, who was whistled for the foul, hobbled away from McKinley. The Warriors subsequently called a timeout to check in on the All-Star guard. Warriors head trainer Rick Celebrini was seen examining Curry’s left leg.

After further discussion, Curry limped to the locker room with Celebrini following and wouldn’t return to the game. He was officially ruled out with a lower left leg injury in the fourth quarter.

Initial X-rays of Curry’s leg were negative but he’s expected to undergo additional tests.

Curry, who will turn 35 next month, had 21 points on 7 of 11 shooting in 26 minutes. He also had seven assists and six rebounds.
