Start up frame data for Terry Bogard already documented by fighting game community for Street Fighter 6

We recently learned that Terry Bogard will become available to download for Street Fighter 6 on September 24, 2024. Needless to say, we’ve already had a good look at Terry’s moveset from all the gameplay footage that has been revealed so far.

As a result, the fighting game community including Hatson have been able to determine the start up frame data of basically Terry’s entire moveset. This provides us with a little bit of a sneak peek at just how good Terry is likely going to be.

Recently, we took notice of how Terry has access to a common trait among top tiers. Namely, Terry has the ability to special cancel his long-reaching crouching medium kick, which is typically a good move to use with a Drive Rush cancel.

It turns out that Terry’s crouching medium kick starts up in 8 frames. This is noteworthy considering that this is the same frame data for Luke, M. Bison, Akuma, and Cammy’s crouching medium kicks, though it’s not quite as fast as Ken and Rashid’s version of the move.

Another strong trait of Terry’s is that he has access to a 6 frame crouching medium punch. Of course, we don’t have any information about how the move behaves on block, so it remains to be seen if it’s as good as Luke’s version of the move.

With all of that in mind, it’s important to note that all of this information is based on the number of frames that get counted while going through a video, frame-by-frame. It’s possible that a few of these attacks could be off by a frame, and Capcom might even incorporate a few adjustments before September 24.

Regardless, here’s all the recorded start up frame data for most of Terry’s move set below:
